Instructor’s Guide: Super3 and Costume Planning Tips!

Posted on October 24th, 2002 by Sue Wurster

Let’s dress up! Great idea! What will I be this year?

Your students are making decisions about their costumes! Use this unique moment to introduce the Super3 Plan-Do-Review concepts in a real-life situation – costume planning.

The Super3 process can help students make creative decisions about what to wear for costume party fun. Use the following prompts to ask your students to think about their costume ideas:

#1 – Plan:
What (or who) would you like to be for the costume party?
Make a list of choices.
Choose your favorite character!

#2 – Do:
Draw a picture of yourself dressed in your costume.
Ask a grown up to help you make or buy your costume.
Wear your costume for fun!

#3 – Review:
Did your costume work out?
Were you happy with your costume?
Was it fun to be that character?

Pictures! Pictures! (Optional)
