Big6 Notetaking Template Using PowerPoint
Here is a PowerPoint-based Template for taking notes and sorting them. Mike Eisenberg suggests students try this technology strategy to help capture and prepare information they gather online or from any resource. The Template includes spaces for title, text, and citation for each entry. Students can reorder the notes to prepare an outline, sort information to match the outline, use spell check and so forth. PowerPoint technology is a smart and efficient way to take notes.
1. The top field is for the Title of this slide/note.
2. The middle field is for Content text. Capture notes from your source.
3. The bottom field will hold the Citation for this note.
4. You may sort the PowerPoint note cards to put them into a logical order for composing an outline or write a report.
5. Prepare a bibliography for your work from all the saved citations.
